The Challenge
To commemorate the 800th anniversary of St. Michael's Church, a series of interactive web applications was to be developed based on a specific design. These applications were to be designed for various locations within the church and thematically divided into four central areas: • Domus Dei: The meaning and history of the church as the house of God. • Decor Domus Dei: The artistic design and symbolic architecture of the church. • Memento Mori: Reflection on transience and life in the face of eternity. • Musica Sacra Missio: The role of sacred music in the liturgical mission. Each location was to offer visitors the opportunity to discover the rich history and significance of St. Michael's Church in an interactive and modern way, combining historical depth with digital innovation.
Our Solution
We developed an interactive web app that allows visitors to explore the church's various areas in an intuitive and engaging way. Using text, images, videos, and audio content, the app brings the themes to life and provides a profound understanding of the church's history and significance. In addition, we created an interactive version for the website, enabling users to experience the content even outside the church. This allows anyone interested to access the multimedia offerings from anywhere and discover the unique features of St. Michael's Church.
