Berndorf Bath and Pool VR
Bytewood was tasked with creating an impressive virtual environment showcasing Berndorf Bäderbau's high-quality stainless steel swimming pools. The goal was to use these visualizations at various trade fair appearances. To achieve this, we redesigned the pools and presented them in virtual reality in a variety of scenarios – from elegant indoor and outdoor settings to an exotic jungle environment and detailed technical views.
Process
Task
The task was to prepare Berndorf's premium stainless steel pools for a trade fair exhibition in a virtual format and make them digitally accessible. The challenge was to create a virtual environment that focused on technical details while simultaneously generating a unique, emotional experience for customers in the bathroom sector.

Solution
To create the digital bathing environment, we used the Unreal Engine, which allowed us to develop an aesthetically pleasing and highly detailed setting. Simultaneously, we utilized the Oculus Quest 3 to offer visitors a mobile and completely wireless experience – eliminating the need for an additional PC or laptop. To showcase the stainless steel pools to their best advantage, all models were meticulously optimized for high-performance rendering. The experience was further enhanced by a well-crafted storyboard, which, with its visual elements, fitting sound effects, and narration, created an immersive and unique experience.

Success Story
Berndorf relies on virtual reality to bring its digitalization strategy to life at trade fairs. The technology makes it possible to display basins in their exact size and with all their details in a completely realistic way — currently the best form of digital presentation. Particularly impressive is the authentic sense of space, which creates a completely new product experience and inspires even target groups with no prior knowledge of 3D. Despite a tight schedule, the project was implemented smoothly thanks to the professional collaboration with partner Bytewood. Due to its great success, planning for the next joint project is already in full swing.
